A possum in a wall cavity sounds different from one in the roof. Instead of thumping overhead, you tend to hear scratching or movement lower down, inside a wall near a corner of the house, and it often comes after a roof job where the possum has dropped down from the ceiling space into a stud wall. This is a trickier job because the crew needs to work out which stud bay the noise is coming from before doing anything.
